Gisele Bundchen Thinks Sunscreen is Poison

Health officials are super angry after supermodel Gisele Bundchen remarked that she doesn’t use sunscreen because she thinks it’s “poison.”

According to the Daily Mail, Bundchen (who only sunbathes before 8 a.m., when the sun’s rays do the least damage) said, “I cannot put this poison on my skin. I do not use anything synthetic.”

The controversial remarks were made at the launch of the 30-year-old’s organic skin care line.

Since then, many skincare experts have come forward to refute her claims. Dolival Loao, the head of dermatology at Brazil’s National Cancer Institute, said “Sunscreen prevents damage to the skin and is of fundamental importance for the prevention of cancer … When a public person makes a statement like this, it creates confusion.”

Readers, has Bundchen scared you away from using sunscreen, or will you continue using the “poison” to avoid melanoma?

Want to smell like “Jennifer Aniston?” Now you can.

“Jennifer Aniston,” the perfume, will soon be sold at Sephora for $39-$70 a bottle.

Aniston, who recently announced that she was offered a spot on SNL (which she turned down to be on “Friends”), is just the latest in a long list of actors who have created their own fragrance lines.

The scent contains notes of “night-blooming jasmine,” a personal favorite of Aniston’s. The actress said that the perfume reminds her of “long sunny days on the beach.”

The White Stripes Announce Breakup

It is a sad day in the music world indeed. Jack and Meg White of The White Stripes have announced today that the band has officially called it quits — for good.

In a statement on their website, The White Stripes announced that they will “make no further new recordings or perform live.” The statement also said that the split was not due to artistic differences or health issues, but for “a myriad of reasons … mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.”

In a way, the split isn’t surprising; the band’s last album dropped in 2007 and the once-married couple has been drifting apart for a while (their last appearance was in 2009), but we’re still sad to see the end of such a dynamic rock-‘n-roll duo.

Want to Study James Franco? Now You Really Can

James Franco is designing a class at Columbia College Hollywood that he could pass with flying colors — it’s all about him.

That’s right — the 32-year-old actor is helping to design a college course … on himself. Movieline reports that students enrolled in the film editing course will have to put together a thirty-minute documentary about Franco’s work as a filmmaker and actor.

And there’s more — Franco himself will be participating in the class, via weekly Skype chat sessions and actually stopping by, as his schedule allows.

Designing the class is just the latest of Franco’s many recent projects, which include starring in the critically acclaimed “127 Hours,” appearing at Sundance, and pursuing degrees at both Yale and the Rhode Island School of Design. This month, he will be returning to his role as an artist/assassin on “General Hospital” and co-hosting the Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway on the 27th.

Readers, what do you think of Franco’s class on Franco? Is there such a thing as too much Franco?

Howard Stern, Comic Book Hero

It seems like President Obama isn’t the only public figure to become an unlikely comic book hero — deejay Howard Stern will soon be the illustrated star of his own biography comic.

Known for his inappropriate antics on and off the air, the 57-year-old Stern will be featured in a comic book by Bluewater Productions entitled “Orbit: Howard Stern.”

The self-described “king of all media” has worked in television, movies, and books, in addition to his famous radio programs. The comic book (which will be available in April for $3.99) will tell the story of his career and focus on his unapologetically brash approach to broadcasting.

Other celebrities who might get the comic book treatment via the “Orbit” series are LeBron James, Gary Gygax and JRR Tolkien, according to a statement by Bluewater president Darren Davis.

Readers, will you be reading the Howard Stern comic book? Are you a fan of Stern’s Sirius satellite radio show, or are you offended by his proclivity for profanity and strippers?

Charlie Sheen Checks In To Rehab

According to Entertainment Weekly, Charlie Sheen’s representative confirmed that the Two and a Half Men star voluntarily checked himself in to an undisclosed rehabilitation center today.

As a result, CBS’ Two and a Half Men has gone on a production hiatus. The network issued a statement, saying, “We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision.”

Sheen had to be rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday for severe pain in his abdomen after the actor reportedly went on a 36-hour drug and alcohol binge with porn stars in his home. However, his publicist claimed Sheen was suffering from a hernia problem.

Let’s hope the 45-year-old Sheen, who has a history of drug abuse and assault charges, will finally get the help he needs.
